This tune was written right after I had gotten home after having visited the David Bowie Exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. That was such an amazing experience... The title is based on what I found was the most haunting, otherworldly display, which were pairs of line drawings.
The story is that Bowie had suspected his friend Laurie Anderson could read his mind. So, he set up an experiment where the two of them would call each other, put the phone down and silently draw a picture, then fax them to each other. The pairs of drawings were displayed next to one another and are eerily similar...
