This album is made up of music I wrote in the first three months while having moved back to New York City. Each piece is attached to a personal memory or feeling of being back in NYC.

The first few months back were such a vibrant, creative time. I had just met Buz and we were starting to develop a personal sound together. We were really expanding what we thought was possible as a guitar/drums duo. I had been playing often with Manel after we met a year or so earlier and knew that this trio would be perfect for all the music I had just written.

When I was told that Gold Coast was about to close, I booked one of the last sessions available to record this music. This session was the first time we ever played together as a trio. This trio and the sound we captured is so special to me. There is a feeling of raw energy as well as knowing each other musically so deeply that comes across to me in this recording.

I'm vey happy this music is finally making it out to be heard. I hope you enjoy listening.
